What is the HEAR US Peer-run Warmline?
SWS is operating a first of its kind peer-run warmline focusing on specific marginalized populations who have experienced true disparities in multiple facets of life, along with a lack of community-based supports in conjunction with evidence-based practices.

The marginalized populations of focus are (not limited to):

-
Peers working within Sacramento County’s Behavioral Health system, housing services, and SUD field, and;
-
Individuals experiencing a mental health hold or recently discharged from a mental health hold.
Drawing from our subject matter expertise as Peers, along with Peer employment and operating Office of Patients' Rights services for 27+ years, we are proud to be able to use our skills and experience to provide unique supports for individuals who historically and currently struggle to find the supports that are reflective of their needs and wants during very critical times in their lives.
